POLIFOOD is the last member of the Politekk family and it was designed and created for food industries specifications.

Created from Politekk113, POLIFOOD has the same mechanical and physical characteristic and very good wear resistance.
It can be applied on every type of metal with a good adhesion in one layer or more layers configuration, with a minimum thick of 0,5 mm ( 0.02 inches).
For vertical surfaces POLIFOOD can be applied in a more dense solution than horizontal surfaces, which are covered by a fluid POLIFOOD with auto-levelling characteristic.

POLITEKK113 is pleasing to the touch and to the eye and has got a smooth and waterproof surface.
The micro-charges inside POLITEKK113 are mixed to give isotropy to the product, which has homogeneous physical and chemical characteristics.

The most used stainless steels for food contact are AISI 304/316 but they can't be hardened to increase their wear resistance; instead AISI 420 can be hardened to increase its surface hardness, but it hasn't the same oxidation resistance of AISI 3 series especially if in contact with some water percent.
POLIFOOD solves this problems with its excellent anti-wear characteristics giving engineers the possibility to use AISI 304/316, if mechanical stresses permit it, cheaper than AISI 420; otherwise POLIFOOD can cover AISI 420 to protect it from oxidation thanks to its waterproof surface.

Actually POLIFOOD is certified with food contact in a water solution and environment, but other certifications like alcohol and lipid solution can be obtained if requested.
