Hardmina, i.e. Allumina, it's a new protective coating made to
obtain a custom-made and a "green" protection, with superior qualities of anti-stick,
anti-wear, anti-abrasion and anti-corrosion.
It has a Vickers Hardness value from 600HV to 1000HV useful up to 1022°F.
Coating thickness goes from 0.004 inches to 0.02 inches.
Roughness after grinding: 0.4 Ra.
This type of ceramic coating was developed for increasing the performances of steel
or aluminium spare parts and the advantage is purely economical because the number
of maintenance operations and also the downtime of the machinery decrease a lot.
Some of our customers have increased the life of the component by 5/6 times compared
to a cost of the protection just twice than a normal coating.
Before production, this protective coating was tested in TWR's laboratory for at
least 12 months.
Hardmina can be used instead of rubber coating, because it can resists higher load
than rubber, due to its bond coating, and of course has better abrasion, corrosion
and wear resistance. The contact with the product is static and it's not a plastic
contact.
